A big congratulations to DeShawn for his 19th place finish in the Festivus Games this last weekend.

You are an inspiration brother, always have been. Your passion and persistence are awesome. Hope you know that. Keep it up.

For many, training for an event or competition is just what the doctor ordered. It does a number of things:

1. It can take your mind off neurotic meaningless shit like the scale and get you directed towards a performance goal. This can be a revelation.

2. It gives your training purpose and possibly renewed fire.

3. It makes you commit (you have to sign up or register and then it’s done).

Oh ya, it can challenge you so you get to see what you’re made of. And real challenge creates growth.

What are you training for?
